Solar Installation

You’ll be searching for information about solar panels, and you’ll be told a beautiful story about a distant future of how you’ll save money and your household will be more energy efficient. While that is true, we will tell you the same story further down but let’s focus on the present.

The industry has many options for quality products and installation services, which dictates costs.

While affordability for our customers is at the forefront of our minds, we aim to ensure all materials are of the highest quality.

What is Solar Installation Process?

Where we first sit down to discuss your energy needs. It’s an opportunity for us to understand what you require and set up a convenient time for an onsite evaluation of your property.

At this stage, our team will conduct a comprehensive analysis of your premises at no cost. We’ll assess potential shade limitations, the orientation of your house or building, and the available roof space. All these factors are critical for optimising solar energy generation.

Once the assessment is completed, we will provide you with a quote and a detailed explanation of the proposed solar system. A design will show how the solar panels will look on your property. This information empowers you to make a well-informed decision at your convenience.

After you’ve accepted the quotation and placed an order, we’ll schedule the work. This includes an installation survey to finalise the positioning of the solar panels and cable routes and arrange any necessary scaffolding.

Our installation team will implement the planned works following the schedule. They will commission the system once everything is in place to ensure everything functions correctly.

After the system has been commissioned, the team will walk you through all aspects of the system during the handover process. This is to ensure you are comfortable and familiar with the workings of your new solar system.

Congratulations! Your solar system installation is now complete. You can now harness clean, renewable energy for your home or business. Welcome to your new energy lifestyle!

Race with The Sun

The solar power process is like a relay race. The sun shines on the panels, which convert sunlight into electricity. This power is used in your home or stored in the battery for later use, ensuring a continuous, renewable energy supply.

Potential Problems with Solar Installation

Will the roof tiles be drilled or punctured during the installation?

No, we lift tiles to fit the roof hook to the battens underneath and the main support beams. We need to notch a small etching outside the underside of the roof tile to enable the brackets and the roof tile to sit closely.

What happens if you want to do a loft extension in the future, can the panels be easily moved, arranged or removed?

Yes, they can be easily moved for either roof repairs or loft conversion. Then if you contact us, we will quote you to send somebody to the site and assist you with the temporary removal and reinstallation of the panels and equipment.

What maintenance or servicing do the solar panels require?

No maintenance is required. However, we recommend that every two years.

How do people replace faulty panels?

If the fault is within the warranty, the equipment supplier will cover the cost of replacing faulty panels. You can contact us or directly contact the provider of the equipment.

How much would the 2-year maintenance inspection cost?

Depends on the regularity of the contract, but typically we charge around £895.
